A Special Thanks to Our Parents

We are incredibly blessed to have such loving, supportive parents—Tim and Pauline Alevizos, and Craig and Colette Collom. Our families mean the world to us, and we’re so grateful not only for how close we are with them, but also for how well they get along with one another. Throughout this special time, they’ve done everything they can to help ease stress and make the experience joyful. They’ve each shown us what it means to give selflessly, love unconditionally, and prioritize family above all else. Those are the values we will carry into our marriage. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. You’ve given us more than we could ever ask for.

Meet the Bridesmaids

Camile Brooks

Maid of Honor

Megan and Camile became fast friends in junior year of high school, when Megan transferred to Aragon. Their afternoons quickly turned into a tradition — Megan driving her yellow bug downtown with the girls for T-Pumps or Chipotle, creating memories they still laugh about today. When Camile would come home from college, their favorite way to reconnect was by exploring the city together — an activity that still lives on. Bonded by their love of spin classes (RIP Cyclebar), they even call each other “spin sisters.” Whether it’s encouragement, style advice, or unwavering support, Megan knows she can always count on Camile — all the qualities that make her the perfect Maid of Honor.

Emmaline Fronczak

Maid of Honor

Megan and Emmaline became friends in junior year at Aragon High School and instantly clicked thanks to their shared sense of humor and endless inside jokes. During college, Megan (often with Carol!) would make a weekend trip to UC Santa Cruz to visit Emmaline to share a fun and memorable weekend. These days, they see each other multiple times a week and are gym buddies... though Megan admits she mostly just follows Emmaline’s lead! Emmaline’s bubbly personality lights up every room and lifts everyone around her — a quality Megan deeply admires and cherishes in her Maid of Honor. Megan knows she has a loyal, joyful, lifelong friend in Emmaline.

Eleni Alevizos-Robson

Matron of Honor

Megan first met Eleni, Yianni’s sister, at Yiannike’s 1st birthday party, too! From the very beginning, Eleni’s warmth and kindness stood out. One of Megan’s favorite memories is spending time together during their family trip to Greece last summer — filled with swimming, shopping, delicious food, and unforgettable core memories. Over time, Eleni has become someone Megan truly looks up to. She’s not only an incredible friend, but also an amazing sister-in-law, and Megan feels so lucky to now call her family.

Kate Ramacciotti

Matron of Honor

Megan first met Kate, Yianni’s sister, at Yiannike’s 1st birthday party. Nervous and not knowing many people, she instantly felt at ease thanks to Kate’s warmth and welcoming spirit. One memory Megan will always cherish is the Disneyland trip she and Yianni took with Kate, John, Athena, and Nike — a trip full of laughter, magic, and unforgettable family moments. Over time, Kate has become a true role model to Megan, and now, getting to call her a sister-in-law is one of the greatest gifts. Having her be part of this journey feels not only special, but truly meant to be.

Lauren Bissell

Megan and Lauren’s friendship began back in elementary school at St. Timothy’s, and they’ve been best friends ever since. Their childhood was filled with Polly Pockets, sleepovers, mall trips, and days at Great America — the kind of memories that shape a lifetime bond. At 17, they even landed their very first job together after filling out the application side by side. Over the years, their friendship has only grown stronger, with countless Tahoe trips and shared milestones. Megan couldn’t imagine this day without Lauren by her side — just like she’s always been.

Carol Cannuli

Megan and Carol’s friendship began over 25 years ago at Megan’s grandmother Shirley’s daycare — and they’ve been best friends ever since. From their days at St. Timothy’s School, where they spent nine years side by side, to sleepovers, after-school hangouts, and a shared One Direction obsession, their bond only grew stronger. In high school, Megan even transferred to Aragon to join Carol and Lauren, and the three graduated together. Over the years, their friendship has taken them from New York to Hawaii and even Europe — but no matter where they are, Megan and Carol have always found their way back to each other. A lifelong friendship full of laughter, love, and adventures.

Jennifer Martinez

Megan and Jenny met when Megan joined Alpha Phi at CSU East Bay, and they’ve been close ever since. Jenny’s positive attitude and radiant energy make her one of those rare people who instantly light up any room. Over the years, she and Megan have shared countless laughs, unforgettable moments, and have sung their hearts out at more concerts than they can count — including an iconic night at the Jonas Brothers concert, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and Harry Styles’ Love On Tour. Whether they’re dancing in a crowd or just catching up, Jenny brings a joy to Megan’s life that she truly treasures.

Vanessa Verdugo

Megan and Vanessa became lifelong friends in 2016 when they met during Alpha Phi recruitment. Vanessa became Megan’s “Big” — a role meant to offer guidance and support — but their bond quickly became so much more. They instantly connected over their love of Grey’s Anatomy, Diet Coke, and great music, and from there, their friendship only grew. Vanessa has always been the person Megan turns to for advice, support, and endless laughs — like two puzzle pieces that just fit. From countless Disneyland trips to unforgettable concerts, they’ve shared so many memories together, and Megan knows she can always count on Vanessa for fun, laughter, and unwavering friendship.

Alexis Verdugo

Megan met Alexis (Vanessa’s real little sister!) after becoming Vanessa’s “Little” in Alpha Phi, and from the start, Alexis welcomed her like family. Her warm, kindhearted presence made Megan feel right at home. One of Megan’s favorite memories is bringing Alexis to Alpha Phi formal, where they danced the night away — laughing, singing, and making memories they still smile about. Whether it’s a quick catch-up or a night out, Megan and Alexis are always guaranteed a good time filled with nonstop laughter and joy.

Annie Groff

Megan met Annie after joining Alpha Phi in 2016 and they clicked instantly. They often joke that they are the “same person” because of how similar they are. One of their favorite memories is when Megan and Vanessa surprised Annie with a Disneyland trip for her 21st birthday, which kicked off a tradition of Disney adventures for years to come. One of Megans favorite, unforgettable memories is singing their hearts out at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour — a night filled with friendship, music, and glitter. Through every season of life, Annie and Megan have shared inside jokes, cheered each other on, and stayed side by side — a friendship Megan truly treasures.

Meet the Groomsmen

Tyler Breen

Best Man

Tyler has been like a brother to Yianni since they met at Crocker Middle School at just 11 years old. Their friendship truly solidified at Serra High School, and from that point on, they have been best friends. Whether it’s daily conversations, shared memories, or simply knowing he always has his back, Tyler has been a constant source of support and loyalty in the Yianni’s life. His unwavering friendship has meant the world, and there is no one more fitting to stand by Yianni's side as his best man.

Michael Collom

Best Man

Michael and Yianni became friends from the moment Yianni met him when first dating Megan. As Megan’s younger brother, Michael and Yianni's bond formed quickly over their shared love for the same sports teams and a similar sense of humor. Over time, their friendship deepened, especially as they now serve side by side as police officers at the San Mateo Police Department. Michael’s strong sense of family and selflessness are qualities that make him not only a great friend but an even better brother-in-law.

George Anagnostou

Koumbaro

George has been a part of Yianni’s life since the very beginning, bound by both family and Greek tradition. His father, Yianni, was the Koumbaro at Yianni’s dad Tim’s wedding—continuing a legacy of friendship and faith that now spans generations. Having been baptized by Yianni’s parents, their connection runs deep, extending beyond friendship. Their parents grew up together in Daly City, forming a lifelong bond that naturally carried over to the next generation. From unforgettable family trips to Greece, Lake Tahoe, Muir Woods, and rafting down the Sacramento River, George has always brought a sense of joy and adventure to every moment. His positivity and constant smile light up any room, making him not only a cherished friend, but the perfect Koumbaro.

Nicholas Galliano

Nick quickly became a great friend to Yianni after they met through Michael, Megan’s brother and Nick’s best friend. Bonding over a shared love of sports, their friendship grew effortlessly, with Nick’s humor always managing to get many laughs out of Yianni. His positive energy and genuine kindness make him someone people naturally gravitate toward, always wanting the best for those around him. Beyond their friendship, Nick has also been like family to Megan since childhood, making his presence in the wedding party even more meaningful. Fun fact: Nick is a CFLD (Certified Fork Lift Driver).

Dane Johnson

In Memoriam

Yianni met Dane when they were just two years old at North Pre-K, making Dane his longest and one of his closest friends. They grew up side by side, spending nearly every weekend at each other’s homes and sharing countless adventures together. From family vacations to everyday hangouts, some of Yianni’s favorite childhood memories include Dane and his two brothers (Chase & Reese). Over the years, their bond became a lifelong friendship—Dane had always been considered part of the family. Dane said he was honored to be asked to stand as a groomsman and was genuinely looking forward to celebrating at the bachelor party. Tragically, Dane passed away in June 2025. His absence is deeply felt, and he will be remembered with love, laughter, and gratitude for the incredible friend he was.

Hasib Alocozy

Yianni and Hasib’s friendship began on the very first day of their journey as police officers at the Oakland Police Academy. Together, they endured six months of arduous mental and physical challenges, always pushing each other to be better and offering unwavering support. After graduating the police academy together, their friendship was strengthened even further when they became partners, patrolling the chaotic streets of Oakland together. Known by dispatch as the only Greek and Farsi speaking patrol unit, they made a lasting impression with their unique partnership. Although though they no longer work together, their friendship remains just as strong, with regular check-ins, conversations, and Korean BBQ dinners. Yianni deeply values Hasib’s loyalty and the way they would do anything for each other.

Garrett McCarthy

Garrett and Yianni first met while working together as police officers at the San Mateo Police Department, and their friendship quickly took off. With his unmatched sense of humor, Garrett made every shift more enjoyable, turning even the toughest days into ones filled with laughter. His incredible dance moves and Broadway-worthy singing talents only add to his infectious energy, making him the life of any gathering. Beyond the fun, Garrett has proven to be a loyal and dependable friend, someone Yianni knows he can count on for years to come.

Emanuel Tirado

Manny and Yianni first met while working at the San Mateo Police Department, bonding through the shared challenges of their field training phase. Facing the struggles together, they became a source of support for one another, confiding in each other about difficulties and pushing each other to improve. Over time, their friendship grew, with Manny teaching Yianni some Spanish and the two having a blast lifting weights together. Manny’s dedication, encouragement, and sense of humor have made him an incredible friend, earning him the nickname “Cheecho”. His presence in the wedding party is a reflection of the strong bond they’ve built, both on and off duty.

Our Story

Megan and Yianni first met through mutual friends during high school. Megan attended Mercy High School, an all-girls school, while Yianni was at Serra High School, an all-boys school. Though they had known of each other for a while, it wasn’t until their senior year of college in 2019 that their paths truly aligned and they began dating. At first, Megan thought Yianni didn’t like her, but it quickly became clear that wasn’t the case. Their first date was a casual night at North Beach Pizza in San Mateo—simple, easygoing, and the beginning of something meaningful.

It didn’t take long for the relationship to feel special. After just a few dates, both Megan and Yianni knew they had found something real. Over the years, they’ve shared countless memories—traveling together, enjoying quiet moments at home with their two cats, and growing as a couple. Their relationship is best described as fun, strong, and loving. Yianni loves Megan’s warm smile and the joy she brings to those around her. Megan loves how deeply Yianni cares for her and how he would do anything to make her happy.

Yianni proposed during a trip to Aidipsos, Greece, the town where his Greek roots are. He chose a peaceful moment at the natural hot springs, overlooking the ocean. It was a heartfelt surprise—though Megan did catch a glimpse of Yianni's brother-in-law, Scott, sneaking around to take photos just before it happened. Both families were overjoyed when they heard the news, and Megan’s dad, Craig, even shed a few tears of happiness.

Now, Megan and Yianni are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives. They recently bought a home together and are excited to build a life filled with love, laughter, and future traditions. Most of all, they can’t wait to continue making memories side by side.
